Woof,
For the full story goto http://mikemowery.blogspot.com/2009/10/after-first-real-fall-snow-2009-in.html but just wanted to share some photos of ME! Woof.

I keep forgetting to tell people, that I LOVE to swim. My favorite part is to splash around in the water.

Who says Berners don’t like the water! More photos of me swimming will be coming later.

Woof!

Yet again, mom and dad have neglected my blog. However, they DID take me on my first backpack trip. It was so much fun. I got to run and play and nap and explore.

For the full story (and all the photos) you can visit dad’s blog. http://mikemowery.blogspot.com/2009/08/backpack-trip-up-to-ice-lake-basin.html

Below are just pictures of ME.

I got to play with lots of new friends in May. Also, I played with my Brother Smokie and my friend Hagen.

Valentino First Day Obedience Classes

Sit! Stay! Come! Down! I never knew there were so many things to learn about being a “good” dog! For the last two weeks, Mommy and Daddy have been taking me to puppy obedience classes.

The beginings are quite fun, as I get to play with all sorts of other puppies, including a Neufy pup called Juno, a tiny black Scottie/Maltese mix called Wilson, a curly haired puppie called Zoe and a handful of other excited young pups just like me!

Woof! But when those treats come out…I look, I listen, and I try my best to do what Mommy and Daddy want me to…below are some pictures of me and my puppy friends in action…

PS   I love it when Daddy trains me…I get extra treats!!!!! Shhhh! Don’t tell Mommy !

Mom and Dad have ignored my blog, because they are busy working on a different blog. (blah, blah, blah).  See http:\\mikemowery.blogspot.com for the full story!

So until they have the time to work on MY blog, I am just going to show pictures from the trip of ME. WOOF!!!!

And what a fun trip it was! We travelled for two and a half weeks and I got to visit four new states, including Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and California. I also got to play on my first Beach, see the great Redwood trees, see my first water falls, roll in lush Oregon and California grasses and visit my first National Bernese Mountain Dog Specialty!  At the show, I saw more Bernese than I ever knew existed AND got to see Stacy Temples, my breeder from Wagontale Kennels in Ft Collins! Smokie Bear and I shared the middle seat of the car just fine…however if I get any bigger, we will have to expand into the back of the car! Woof! Enjoy my Mom and Dad’s postings of our trip!

[Note: I just found out that not all the photos are posted yet, but as they update their photos, it will show up here. Geez.]

Gosh! I can’t believe how many nice doggies, kids and people I am meeting each and every day “on the job” at Alpen Schatz. My friends come in all sizes and shapes. Following is an example of some of the variety of friends and fans I have…

I recently met my first Pug: “What a squishy nose you have” I told him firstly : ) Then, SAME DAY, I had a visitor of the BIGGEST dog I have EVER SEEN! A Humongous Black Neufoundland – twice the size of my brother, Smokie Bear. He was very gentle and we all shared our treats. Then, a little boy made friends with me…and later on that day a nice lady just wanted to cuddle and cuddle and love me. It is so much fun hanging out at Alpen Schatz with my Mommy and Daddy and brother Smokie Bear!

Woof, this was taken on March 9, Mom and Dad are trying to process some past photos.

But here is what what we did.  Mom was in Europe at the time buying stuff, so Dad took me on the loop down Skunk Creek.  We did not see any skunks, but I got scared of the small creek crossing.  But in the end Dad helped me across.  I hope we get to do this loop again.

The last photo, I realized it was LUNCH time. YUMMMMMMY

Woof, Woof…

Well, I guess I could not avoid it any longer…my Mommy and Daddy took me upstairs this afternoon and before I knew it, I was the Rub-A-Dub-Dub, the Pup in the Tub! Yikes! I did not mind all of that nice muddy dirt on my fur, but I guess Mom and Dad did not feel the same way. You can see it in my eyes…”HELP!” as they proceeded to scrub me all over.

Well, now I must say, I smell all nice and my fur is extra soft and fuzzy!

Hagen, my best friend, came to visit me at Alpen Schatz the other day. His daddy, Adam brings him in to play and we have so much fun! Hagen is a month older than I am but just the right size to play with.

Check out our big puppy teeth! In these pictures I am 14 weeks at 34 lbs and Hagen is 18 weeks and weighs about 40 lbs. At the end of a big play, we both shared the water bowl outside of Alpen Schatz with the big life-like stuffed Bernese watching us : )
